I just love to write and still take notes the old fashion way. I just don't see many journals these days and it's so sad. My sister and I used to write letters back in forth for years when she attended school. I have several journals I keep for my fondest memories of each of my children. I even kept a journal when I was pregnant... I need to get back in the habit of writing in them again. I re-read them sometimes and it's like I am back in that moment. I know my children will cherish these journals when they get older and become parents. It's also a great place to tuck favorite pics and little notes from them.
I hope this encourages all of you to take out a pen and grab a journal (I prefer the leather ones) and write about your day...
Tis the season for fresh baked breads and I found an amazing dipping oil from Annie's Naturals. This one is olive oil, balsamic with herbs galore. I sprinkled some fresh ground pepper and a little bit of parmesan cheese and it was perfect. There are other varieties that I'd love to try...if you tried any others let me know!

In need of a simple gift that's inexpensive and looks like a million dollars, then you're in luck. The items in the picture are all from T.J. Maxx and were less than $20. The leaf bowl that contain the items were from AC Moore (set of 3 nesting bowls were $9.99). Add some plastic wrap, paper fill and matching twine or ribbon and VIOLA, it's a gift basket for under $30. Another great place to shop for items for a gift basket is Home Goods.
