Have a Beautiful weekend...XOXO!

a few of my favorite tomato recipes...

In my desperation not to waste all my cherry tomato's I was asking everyone for recipes.  The first is just a salad I threw together. The second is an actual recipe but I altered it a bit...super easy and a crowd pleaser.

Cherry tomatos, black olives, artichoke hears, fresh basil, feta cheese with olive oil and sea salt and fresh ground pepper.

Take cherry tomato's and line at the bottom of a shallow pan then cover with olive oil, sea salt, fresh ground pepper, basil, garlic and bake for 45 minutes at 325.  Serve with soft cheese and toast.

this picture kills me...too cute!

this picture now covers my desktop... it makes me laugh out LOUD when I see it! Hope you enjoy it too!!

last of my gardens' goodies

The last goodies from my garden...I was very fortunate and had plenty of wonderful veggies this summer.  Although we have a few peppers still hanging on and the herbs that survived the tomato plants, we are pretty much finished for the season.  I was able to try so many wonderful recipes and found a few new favorites (check back later today for the recipes).

Now it's time to pick apples, pumpkins and try homemade apple butter and honey from the local farms.  I just love fall in Virginia... and the wine isn't so bad either.

Limes...we love limes!

                              {Via}{recipe via Emeril}

The health benefits of lime include weight loss, skin care, good digestion, relief from constipation, eye care, and treatment of scurvy, piles, peptic ulcer, respiratory disorders, gout, gums, urinary disorders, etc. The first fruit that comes to our minds when it comes to medicinal uses is perhaps the good old lime. This sour citrus fruit can do what many specialist medicines cannot. Lime, bearing the scientific name Citrus Aurantifolia, is being used for ages for treatment of various ailments.  Lime is consumed throughout the world in sorbets, beverages, refreshing drinks, pickles, jams, jellies, snacks, candies, sugar boiled confectionaries and culinary and the oil extracted from its peel or skin is extensively used in soft drink concentrates, body oils, cosmetics, hair oils, tooth pastes, toilet and beauty soaps, disinfectants, mouth washes, deodorants and innumerable other products. There are many varieties of lime found all over the world, particularly in the tropical and the Mediterranean climates. Read the entire article here.

white fresh and airy

Still dreaming of white... these curtains are so fresh and airy.  They remind of me having the windows open and fresh crisp air blowing through them.
